This fan crossover mixes the platforming vocabulary of Mario with wave survival, so check the host page for exact rules before assuming either side's conventions. Movement still follows platformer logic: momentum, jump arcs, and spacing matter before shooting does.

Treat horde waves as resource rounds: ammo and pickups regenerate on a rhythm, so learn the rhythm rather than spraying. Chokepoints that funnel zombies into single-file lines convert panic into efficiency, while open rooms convert efficiency into panic.

When special enemies appear, change posture immediately: ranged threats reward repositioning, melee swarms reward channeling. The mashup's charm is familiarity with different rules — appreciate both halves on their own terms.
