NBA 2K12's browser build plays best when you slow the game down mentally. On offense, value the open mid-range shot over a contested drive: the shot clock forgives patience and punishes hero-ball. Use passing to move the defense, then attack the gap the pass created.
On defense, stay between your man and the basket, contest with a hand rather than a jump, and only gamble for steals when a rotation stands behind you. Fouls are free points conceded; discipline is defense.
Learn two or three signature moves for your chosen players and repeat them until automatic: a post fade, a crossover pull-up, a catch-and-shoot corner three. The original roster's legends each play to their strengths, and respecting that difference makes lineups feel like teams.
