Return to Castle Wolfenstein alternates grounded WWII combat with the occult, and each half rewards a different reflex. In the military sections, advance by cover pairs: pick the next hiding spot before leaving the current one, and clear balconies before doorways.

The supernatural enemies change the math: keep a high-damage weapon (the Tesla or Venom) charged for them, and back toward exits while firing rather than cornering yourself against a tomb wall. Health packs are scarce enough that caution pays literal dividends.

In multiplayer-flavored builds, class balance beats heroics: a Lieutenant feeding ammo to two soldiers outlasts three lone wolves. Learn the flag or objective routes, and treat the engineer as the most protected player on the team.
