OpenLara's Tomb Raider keeps the original's deliberate platforming: line up jumps with the walk-to-edge step, use the look key to read drop distances, and save before every uncertain leap. Lara jumps from a standstill farther than a running hop in several cases; test rather than assume.

Puzzle tombs reward reading the room: switches usually change something visible, so after pulling one, look for new light, water levels, or opened gates before leaving. Draw-block puzzles follow weight logic; the block always moves one square.

Combat is positional rather than frantic: sidestep while shooting, use pillars to break enemy aim, and save the magnums for threats that deserve them. The browser port's controls take an evening to feel natural; remap jump to a comfortable key before the first tomb.
